I am running Eclipse for PHP on a Mac, with MAMP (XDebug activated). When I create a Run configuration for a PHP project, a Debug configuration of the same name is created simultaneously. But whenever I initiate a Run configuration, Eclipse puts me in debug mode. This is true whether I initiate the Run configuration or the Debug configuration (and it doesn't matter what perspective I am in). I would like to just be able to sometimes Run the program through, and sometimes be in Debug mode. But there doesn't seem to be anyway to avoid debug mode except by deactivating XDebug in the MAMP ini file (very inconvenient). Whey can't I create a distinct Run configuration that doesn't have a Debug configuration without the same name? Or is the problem something else?
