Hi,

I have downloaded Galileo modeling package containing UML2Tools project,
I would like to uninstall UML2Tools from "Eclipse Installation
Details" dialog but when select "UML2Tools" item "Uninstall..." button
is disabled.
Why?

Thanks.

There are two kinds of things that are installed into Eclipse.
1) Things that are explicitly installed because the user asked for it,
or the package producer installed it.
2) Everything else that is required by the things in (1).

You can't uninstall the things in (2) because they are required by the
things in (1). To get rid of them, you would need in uninstall the
thing in (1) that required it.

In Help -> About Eclipse -> Installation Details -> Installed Software,
the things at the root of the tree are explicitly installed (1).
Everything under the roots, are the things that are required (2).

For the modeling package, there is only 1 thing installed: "Eclipse
Modeling Tools (epp.package.modeling).

If you want an install without the UML2Tools, you would need to start
with an install that uses a smaller root, and then add what you want on
top of that. (ie start with Eclipse Classic and build up from there).
