Decorating java editors [message #336483]

Hello everybody,

I'd like to create a plug-in that add visual informations to java editors
but I'm not sure how to do it. For example I'd like to add icons on the
left of the editor pretty much like it's done when there are java errors.

Could anyone give me some tips here ?

I suggest to read past posts. This has been asked and answered several
times. There's also an Eclipse article named something like "mark my words".
