Sending HUP signal to eclipse process [message #334877]

confirmation and query to save open files as it normally does when the
user attempts to close the workbench window.

What is happening here? Is eclipse process exiting gracefully or is the
HUP signal treated the same as the KILL signal?

Is there an option to change the current behavior?

question.

I am launching an eclipse application from another application. When the
parent application exits, the eclipse application is terminated without
having a chance to save changes and exit gracefully.

Is it possible to send some kind of signal from the parent application
to the eclipse application that it should terminate.
