R3.4.1; WinXP

I am happily using Eclipse in WS_1; I also have WS_2 that I use less
often; all fine. Now some new code comes along that I wish to test, but
is not really part of the set of projects in either WS_1 or WS_2, so ...
I create WS_TEST_FOO, and test the code there, and (let's say) after
some while I am done testing, and no longer need that WS_TEST_FOO at
all. How do I remove the WS_TEST_FOO? (Deleting the directory
"WS_TEST_FOO" helps not at all, because the WS is still listed under
File -> Switch Workspace, and the directory will be *RECREATED* by
Eclipse if I switch to it.)

Didn't see anything on this newsgroup back to 2006 that looked relevant;
and the help docco didn't mention the issue:
 http://help.eclipse.org/ganymede/index.jsp?topic=/org.eclips e.platform.doc.user/reference/ref-workspaceswitch.htm

Is there a way? File an enhancement request?

thanks,
Paul

Look in the file \configuration\.settings\org.eclipse.ui.ide.prefs under
your Eclipse installation. In there you'll find a property named
RECENT_WORKSPACES that you should be able to edit.

Hope this helps,

In that case it looks like what you submitted could not be easily
digested; they really need patches as opposed to stand-alone code. It
looks to me like the last bit of info came from Paul instructing you how
to get the Eclipse code from CVS, which would enable you to create a
patch pretty easily.
That is a pretty old bug against 3.1, so I'm not sure it is still
applicable; but I'd encourage you to pick it up again. I'd say you're
only a couple of hours of work away, assuming the code in question
hasn't changed too much since 3.1.

In that case I'd ping the bug with a comment, since it appears that you
were actively addressing the feedback but it stalled. A comment will
trigger an email to all the CCers, most importantly Dale and Wayne.
