I'm using the 2.3 nightly version to test our Eclipse Application. (2.2 Was not able to do that)

The eclipse plugins work fine and I was able to record and replay a test. (Really cool!)

Now I wanted to use the Test Runner but it fails with the following error message:

[java] org.eclipse.core.runtime.CoreException: Target platform initialization failed
     [java] at org.eclipse.rcptt.internal.launching.ext.Q7TargetPlatformManager.createTargetPlatform(Q7TargetPlatformManager.java:135)

When i looked into the runners workspace log, i found that he's missing dependencies to various eclipse/ui related dependencies. For Example:
!ENTRY org.eclipse.compare.win32 4 0 2018-06-04 15:51:30.811
!MESSAGE FrameworkEvent ERROR
!STACK 0
org.osgi.framework.BundleException: Could not resolve module: org.eclipse.compare.win32 [29]
  Unresolved requirement: Require-Bundle: org.eclipse.ui.forms; bundle-version="[3.4.0,4.0.0)"
  Unresolved requirement: Require-Bundle: org.eclipse.compare; bundle-version="[3.5.0,4.0.0)"
    -> Bundle-SymbolicName: org.eclipse.compare; bundle-version="3.7.200.v20180418-1233"; singleton:="true"
       org.eclipse.compare [30]
         Unresolved requirement: Require-Bundle: org.eclipse.ui; bundle-version="[3.5.0,4.0.0)"

Anyway to get around this?

Could you provide complete log? Looks like ECF transport failed to load, I'd like to see its errors.

Thanks a lot!

We now see this regression in nightly builds too and will fix it soon.

Meanwhile, please see if Runner 2.3.0-M6c works for your application (does not work with Photon-based AUTs).

Nevermind, found it here:
https://mvnrepository.com/artifact/org.eclipse.rcptt.runner/rcptt.runner/2.3.0-M6c

Will test it.
