Hi,
I have used BIRT with Eclipse RCP application and it is working fine. Now I want to use it with spring boot project. As I am new to Spring Boot when I tried to incorporate same code from RCP to Spring boot it is not working.
It is giving me an null pointer exception at "design=engine.openReportDesign(rptDesign);" as shown in attached screen-shot.
I am using org.eclipse.birt.runtime:3.7.1 in my maven dependancy.
So please let me know How to use BIRT with Spring Boot and provide some guide links or GIT sample project.

thank god after a lot of struggling I was able to use BIRT with spring boot.
Issue I figured out was with latest maven repository of BIRT i e.
org.eclipse.birt.runtime: 4.6.0-20160607.
Now I am using org.eclipse.birt.runtime: 4.2.0 version which supports report engine as well as client script feature.:)
