Apache Tomcat version 9.0 [message #1764156] Thu, 25 May 2017 22:47 Go to next message

I'm using Eclipse IDE for Java Developers, Kepler Service Release 2, on a Windows 8.1 Pro laptop.

I installed Apache Tomcat versions 7 and 9, but version 9 does not appear as a Server Runtime Environment (Window > Preferences > Server > Runtime Environments).

When I click the "Add" button, it's not there. When I click the "Search" button and go to the Tomcat 9 folder, I receive the message "No new server runtime environments were found."

How do I get Apache Tomcat version 9 to appear?

Thanks.

Consider that you're trying to use a 3 year old version of Eclipse and the Web Tools Platform with a version of Tomcat that, even today, has yet to have a proper release. It should be supported in the current Neon.3 release.
