I installed eclipse neon.2. I just want to share a project I have created to my svn repository. But the share projects operation failed. And there is an error:
Share project was failed.
Share project was failed.

Seeing this in Neon PDT now too.

I'm getting a similar issue upon checkout of an SVN that's been used for years:

SVN: '0x0040010b: Obtain Project Name' operation finished with error: Can't overwrite cause with org.tmatesoft.svn.core.SVNException: svn: E160013: URL 'hhttttpp://svn.intranet.local/repos/trunk/php5_applications/framework/.project' non-existent in that revision
Can't overwrite cause with org.tmatesoft.svn.core.SVNException: svn: E160013: URL 'hhttttpp://svn.intranet.local/repos/trunk/php5_applications/framework/.project' non-existent in that revision

Clearly .project is there and why now, all of a sudden does it care about this?

TortoiseSVN works fine, it's Subversive and the connectors and Eclipse trying to do too much. Tempting to just use Tortoise and get rid of my headaches.

I have noticed pretty much the same errors recently after years of working with Subversive in Eclipse without such errors. But the story goes on: Since recently (after an upgrade of Subversive), I can no longer create new SVN tags in the "SVN Repositories" view. When I try to create a new tag the following exception occurs:

SVN: '0x0040011a: Call Menu Action' operation finished with error: Can't overwrite cause with org.tmatesoft.svn.core.SVNException: svn: E160013: URL 'https://svn[details removed for privacy reasons]/.project' non-existent in that revision

I had a similar issue with .project

Try unchecking this in Preferences:
Team | SVN | Project structure | Use '.project' project name...

Negative - same error when trying to create a new tag from the "SVN Repositories" view. I haven't tested the other two cases (share checkout project).

It is a problem in SVN Kit 1.8.14 which is related to the misgivings in SVN 1.9 API integration. I've made a patched version that fixes those issues and it is available for download.
