IHE Community,
Connectathon Applications Due Sept. 21
Applications for participants in the IHE North America Connectathon,
taking place January 28 - February 1, 2008 in Chicago, are are due this
Friday, Sept. 21, 2007. Applications and general information are
available on line at
http://www.ihe.net/Connectathon/ihena2008_connectathon_parti cipants.cfm.
The Connectathon will test profiles in the following IHE domains:
Cardiology
IT Infrastructure
Laboratory
Patient Care Coordination
Patient Care Devices
Radiology
Last year's Connectathon drew more than 300 individual testing
participants from more than 75 organizations.
HIMSS Interoperability Showcase Application Deadline Sept. 28
Applications are also available online for participants in the HIMSS08
Interoperability Showcase, which will take place Feb. 24-28, 2008 in
Orlando, FL. The application is available on the HIMSS Interoperability
Showcase Website: www.interoperabilityshowcase.org/himss08.
The Interoperability Showcase demonstrates multiple health information
exchanges based on real-world clinical scenarios. The event highlights
the IHE framework for delivering interoperability across local, regional
and national health information networks. Applications for the 2008
Showcase must be submitted by Friday, Sept. 28, 2007.
