I'm experiencing a problem with Kura startup: it takes too long! About 5 minutes! Is there any method to reduce this startup time? Maybe disabling some feature which i don't need? Consider that i don't use any of the features provided by kura (except basic services like SystemService or ConfigurationService), since that i deploy my own custom packages.
I've already disabled the web interface, but i got only a little improvement.

Any other ideas?

Hello,

Five minutes is well past the typical start up time of Kura. On a Raspberry Pi 2, from starting the application to all bundles being satisfied, is usually well under a minute. What type of system are you running on? Is this start up time just Kura or are you starting some of your own bundles? Are there other applications running on the system?

Thanks,
--Dave

Hello Dave,

I'm running kura 1.4.0 on an intel edison. The time reported refer to the startup of kura, without any of my packages.
There isn't any other user software running on the device.

Hi Marco,

I will have to check on this and get back to you. Is there are reason you are using an older version of Kura (v1.4.0)? I will check this and newer versions to see if I am seeing the same behavior.

Thanks,

Hi Marco,

I can confirm that something is wrong with Kura v1.4.0 on the Intel Edison. I did try Kura v2.0.2 and it started up in around 30s. Is it possible for you to move to the newer version?

Thanks,
