Hi all,
I'm working to build and use Kura using a small Desktop or laptop, or at least in a Virtual Machine.
I wouldn't use Raspberry or other, because i have running other services already on desktop platform.

So, I'd like use Kura on a simple Desktop PC, with installed 14.04.3 LTS, Trusty Tahr x86 or x86_64.

Did you have some experience in that? I looked for docs, but i not found anything about it.

Thanks for any suggestion.

Regards,
Lillo

Hello,

We don't currently have Kura installations for desktop Ubuntu. The closest would be the Raspberry Pi Debian packages. This would likely install, but may fail to start due to native library dependencies. If so, they are pretty easy to work around. I would recommend trying the Raspberry Pi no networking package and see how it goes.

We also have an emulator that runs on Linux distros from within the Eclipse IDE. This may be a viable alternative for development.

Thanks,
--Dave
