How to diagnose when Eclipse dies silently [message #330106]

Sometimes, with Eclipse version 3.4, it dies suddenly, I think when doing
Subversion operations.

I have looked at the famous .metadata/.log file but found anything
interesting.
Is it maybe a JVM crash?
