BLE sample on Rasberry Pi3 [message #1734464]

I installed Kura on a Rasberry Pi 3 and paired a Ti Sensor tag CC26y50 to the Pi. When I run the hcitool from console, i am able to connect to the sensor and read the readings from it. But when I run the sample from Kura, the deployment package seems to be installed but doesn't run. From OSGI console, I did a "start <PID>" it doest seem to get started. But OSGI console shows the process when I do "ss"

I think the main culprit is setBluetoothService() and unsetBluetoothService() in the component.xml and BluetoothLe.java. If I remove those calls from component.xml, then the package starts perfectly.

I installed all the necessary packages on the Pi as described in the sample and am able to connect to sensor tag via console.
Do I need to do something for Kura to give a call back to setBluetoothService() and unsetBluetoothService()?
Can someone faced similar problem?

Hi Anantha,
what version of Kura are you using?
Currently the Raspberry Pi 3 is not officially supported and probably some features will not work as expected.
In this case I suppose the main issue could be the BlueZ stack installed. Which version is running on your Raspberry?

Could you also post the results of "ss" and "ls" commands executed in the OSGi console?

Here are the outputs of ls and ss. I see that ls shows the State as "Unsatisfied " for org.eclipse.kura.example.ble. I am not sure what that means.

Hi,
from what I see it seems you downloaded and installed the nn (no network) version which means that kura will not manage network interfaces.
All the networking and connection part is emulated in this version.
I think you should try the complete version with web ui that is available here: https://s3.amazonaws.com/kura_downloads/raspbian/release/1.4.0/kura_1.4.0_raspberry-pi-2_installer.deb

I re-imaged by Pi-3 and installed network version with Web UI and Network version but the problem persists. Any ideas?
