We have two RCP products - one is an Eclipse RCP GUI, and the other is a 'roughly equivalent' RCP console application. Our current installation process sets things up so that the console application is installed in a sub-directory of the GUI application.

We recently had a customer run the GUI, start the Eclipse "Install new Software" dialog, and then install the console product into the GUI product. This caused some problems.

I would like to somehow mark the p2 products so that when a user is running the Install New Software dialog from the GUI product, the console product is marked as being 'incompatible' or 'unavailable'.
