Is there a way to drag and drop a Figure Canvas elements from a view to another Figure Canvas element? If yes could you please share a sample code snippet.

Unfortunately, the recent-ish addition of DND support in SWTBot API
didn't cover the GEF use cases. See
https://wiki.eclipse.org/SWTBot/GSOC_dragndrop#DragSource_and_DropTarget_object
It might be something possible and not too difficult. You should
consider contributing this:
