| Update Site Project - some issues [message #328016] | Mon, 12 May 2008 12:50 | |
| Eclipse User | | | | | Hi everybody. I create two Eclipse-based plugins, and now I want to create a feature
 project
 and a correlated update-site project.
Its the first time I do these operations, so I have some questions for you:

 1. My plugins need some dependencies (org.eclipse.wst) that I inserted in
 the
feature.xml file under the <requires> section. The required features must
 be on
the same site where the project is hosted, or can be downloaded from
 another
site? Do I have to include only the main package or the subpackages too
 (org.eclipse.wst.common_core.feature, etc)?

 2. I need an external library (DLL) to make a plugin to work. How can I
 insert
 it into the project?

 3. The two plugin can be inserted in a single feature project? Or it's
 better to
create two distinct feature project and then use a composite feature that
 contains them?

 Thanks in advance.
