specifying java / jre location for web start in JNLP [message #1714886] Tue, 17 November 2015 08:24

Hi,

is it mandatory to have JRE on client's machine for web start to work ?

Can i use server jre or java from network location in JNLP file.
i.e., forcing JNLP not to use client JRE and use java specified in server jre / network jre.

This way is it possible to run web start independent of client machine jre and use only java specified on server / network

Your help will be appreciated.

Regards,
Sudhakar
