Hi,

I'm having the same problem. I'm working on a rather large project that requires a few configurations and since I've got a new computer, I can't get the config support to work. This feature is very important to me.

Is there any alternative repository or is it possible to download the package and install it from file?

Petri seems to be having trouble keeping his domain alive. https://groups.google.com/forum/#!topic/pkg-config-support-for-eclipse-cdt/xbzv6gFk7vE
Suggest you try to email him or post a query here https://groups.google.com/forum/#!forum/pkg-config-support-for-eclipse-cdt

Thank you. There is already a recent post about the domain (sorry can't use links) so I'll keep checking the updates on that group.

I must say though, that the problem might be more complicated than I first anticipated. I've found, that I do have the file "/usr/share/eclipse/dropins/cdt-pkg-config/eclipse/plugins/org.eclipse.cdt.managedbuilder.pkgconfig_0.8.0.201305070533" on my computer. The archive seems to correspond with the plugin's git repository. I don't have any relating config-files in my workspace and I do get the message "The configuration support is not installed on the system". I must admit, that I've taken the configuration support for granted and haven't put much thought in the eclipse plugins until now. How would I find out whether a plugin is missing or installed but not working?

You can see what's been installed by looking at Help ==> Installation Details
There are several tabs one of which is "Plug-ins"

I was wrong to assume that my problem was related to this thread. The plugin is already installed and running (most likely as part of the c/c++ tools-package). I've just set up eclipse and imported my current project from my old workstation. That didn't completely work for the configurations (understandably). It did build though... I couldn't fix them but after recreating the configurations, everything works fine for me. Thanks and regards.
