Hi all,

As discussed in a previous post i created my first feature last weeks.
When i exported this feature i choose to export it as a Jar (a message in
PDE export dialog said : " Jar required for update sites").

After installing this Jar feature all is working perfectly !!

Yesterday a user of this feature email me about a strange problem:

Once he adds a new feature to is Eclipse installation using the Help ->
Find and install -> Manage configuration -> Add extension location, my
feature becomes disabled !!!

I was able to reproduce the bug and check the error log :

!ENTRY org.eclipse.update.configurator 2008-03-13 11:40:30.873 !MESSAGE
Unable to find feature.xml in directory: followed by the path of my Jar
feature.

Trying to export the feature as a directory (as all Eclipse features) fix
the problem ...

Have you any explication for this ?

Perhaps there's an issue with the bin.includes of the build.properties.
Are you sure the feature.xml is properly ending up in your final jar?

Hi Ed,

Ye sit is I checked that. What is very strange is that before any
extension location is added my feature works perfectly ...
