I have eclipse luna in my system which was installed for Java. But few weeks back I installed PHP PDT to debug PHP programs, but unable to do that. Though in the preferences it is showing that PHP is installed and also showing its debuggers. But don't know why it is not able to debug the PHP programs. Or is there a thing like for debugging PHP, I have to remove Java preferences? Can anyone please help me in this regard.

This may be stupid question, but did you install debugger into your php installation?
For example XDebug - http://xdebug.org/wizard.php

PDT: http://eclipse.org/pdt
PDT-Ex: http://p2.pdt-extensions.org | nightlies: http://p2-dev.pdt-extensions.org
