compare: switch used comparer [message #325530] Thu, 21 February 2008 03:32 Go to next message
Eclipse UserFriend
Hi,

is it possible to let the user decide which compare view to use? It
might be useful to provide multiple ways of compare and let the user
decide which one to use. Can I "forward" to the IViewerCreator to
distinguish dependent on the users decision? As I can see does the
compare implementation hides the decision from the
"org.eclipse.compare.contentMergeViewers" extension. So I need to copy
quite the whole compareAction supporting this kind of feature.
Any ideas?

Thanks in advance,
Sven

Sven,

Soory, I don't know about switching the used comparer, but bug #201116 (
https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=201116 ) might be related
to what you're facing?
