mouse hover over variable does not show value [message #324941]

When I hover the cursor over a variable when debugging, it shows me not
the value of the variable, but its type and where it is declared, e.g.
"double x - com.mycompany.somepackage.someMethod()"

How can I get it to show the the variable value?
