i would like to replace/overwrite the bundle's classloader. where/how
can i do that?

All I can say is

1) good luck with that! :-)

2) you might want to check out
http://wiki.eclipse.org/Equinox_Transforms and
http://wiki.eclipse.org/Adaptor_Hooks

and 3) after you've looked at the classloading adapter I would ask in
eclipse.technology.equinox (they implement the classloading strategy
that Eclipse uses).
