Install Problems [message #2698] Fri, 21 November 2003 01:08 Go to next message

Hello,

I have a problem to use the visualeditor, I can use it (Elcipse 2.1.2).
There is no change to use it, there is no 'VisualClass' in my Eclipse.
I have installed the plugin correctly.
I have delete my Eclipse folder and installed new, but nothing has change.

What is my error ?!?!?

All you need to download is at that link (build sensitive, so it might
change). A couple of things to look out for. Install eclipse first, then
the other zips in that link. Remember that when you unzip (EMF, GEF,
VE), they need to be unzipped in the eclipse folder. If that doesn't
work, holler back and we'll see if we can find any other problems.

Hello,

I found several versions of VE Runtime:
- Stable Build: S20031113 (Nov. 13 2003)
- 0.5.0 Stream Stable Build: 0.5.0RC1 (Fri, 21 Nov. 2003)
- 0.5.0 Stream Integration Build: I20031117 (Mon, 17 Nov 2003)

So, there are two stable builds and an integration build. The 0.5.0
Stream files comes from http://www.eclipse.org/vep/ and the first
from
http://download.eclipse.org/tools/ve/downloads/drops/S-S2003 1113-200311131536/index.html.
I think the latest stable is the second...

The latest stable build was built on Friday, 11/21 and contains fixes for
bugs found in the last test pass. It is a release candidate for the 0.5.0
release. You can get it from
