You have access to the OSGi services, and there is a set of bundles that
you can include in an RCP app from equinox that has different services
.... but they're not in eclipse by default.

Check out the services that are available at http://www.eclipse.org/equinox/

I'd also ask in the equinox technology newsgroup.
