3.2 Import Project with COPY option marks all files as modified [message #305994]

Eclipse User

I imported a project into a new 3.2 workspace using the Copy Projects into
Workspace option. After the import, all of the project files were tagged as
modified ('>' displayed next to the file name). It was necessary to do a
Team Update to clear the flags.

Is there a technical reason that import could not have preserved the
modified state of the files being imported?

Does this merit a bug report?
