I often go through this workflow.

1] If it already exists, delete the launch configuration for my product.
2] On the Testing section of the Product editor, click Launch
3] Assuming there are errors, go to the launch configuration -> plug-ins
tab and click Validate to see the unsatisfied constraints.

I feel like I should be able to validate this in a single click from the
Product editor. That is, go out and pretend like you are going to
generate my configuration, but really just make sure that a valid
configuration will actually be generated. If the generated configuration
is invalid, tell me the unsatisfied constraints.

Does this make sense? I just want to shortcut to the Validation dialog.

Most likely an enhancement request.. but wondering other folks' thoughts.

Cheers
Ben

It's on my list for M7 :)

247920: [product] add validate button
https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=247920

Feel free to vote for it or give me some more motivation ;)
