The migration of Java EE to the Eclipse Foundation has been an enormous effort by the Eclipse Foundation staff and the many contributors, committers, members, and stakeholders that are participating.

In a recent blog post by Mike Milinkovich, the Eclipse Foundation's Executive Director, he outlines and summarizes the progress to date, as well as the implications of the recent agreement between Eclipse and Oracle on Jakarta EE and use of Java trademarks and the javax namespace.

Eclipse Brand Guidelines

To help our members and community understand the ways they can leverage the Eclipse brand, and to better ensure the consistency of our corporate brand identity, we have created a new Brand Guidelines. This style guide outlines usage standards to ensure that the Eclipse Foundation logo is instantly and consistently recognizable however and wherever it is used by Foundation members and the community.

We welcome feedback on the guidelines and any other ways we can help you leverage the various assets of the Eclipse Foundation.

Membership Prospectus

Based on feedback received, we have developed a comprehensive membership prospectus to enable prospective members to learn about Eclipse Foundation membership. The document highlights our membership structure, our unique value proposition, and the process of becoming a member. It is posted on the eclipse.org Membership page here.

Corporate Overview Presentation

Also based on feedback received, and to reflect our updated brand and strategic focus areas, we have made enhancements to the Eclipse Foundation Corporate Overview presentation.  As a reminder, this presentation is made available for members to use, in whole or in part, when explaining what Eclipse does, and explaining their relationship with Eclipse.
