Juno Juno has arrived! Juno is the ninth annual Eclipse release train, based on Eclipse 4.2. It represents the work of 72 project teams by 445 open source committers, and the participation of 40+ Eclipse member companies. See the highlights and access the downloads on the Juno web page.

Recently the Eclipse community revised its bylaws to replace the annual Roadmap document with an annual Community Report. Comments and feedback on the style and content would be appreciated at emo@eclipse.org.

LocationTech IWG Proposed

A proposal has been made to establish an Eclipse LocationTech Industry Working Group. The goal will be to collaboratively define, build and maintain open source tools for location-based and geospatially-aware products and applications. The proposed charter is available for review. Please send feedback to the mailing list.

All members of the Eclipse Foundation are invited to join; to do so, send email to the mailing list. Based on the feedback and level of interest, the working group will be officially created in the summer of 2012.
