    Annual General Meeting of the Eclipse Membership

    The Annual General Meeting will be held March 22 at the Hyatt Regency Santa Clara from 1:30-5:00 pm. Guest speaker Jeffrey Hammond from Forrester Research will discuss application development trends and there will be a panel discussion on the future direction of the Eclipse Foundation. RSVP to members.meeting@eclipse.org to attend.

    Board of Directors Candidates

    Details on the candidates for the 2010 Eclipse Foundation Board of Directors have been posted. Voting will take place from February 22 to March 12 at 3:00 pm EST.

    Vote for the Eclipse Community Awards

    Vote Now Voting for the Top Committer, Top Contributor, Most Innovative New Feature or Eclipse Project and Most Open Project award categories is open until February 26 at 5:00 pm EST. Help us thank
    the individuals and projects who have made Eclipse a stronger community this past year. The winners will be announced at EclipseCon.

    Submit a Paper for the Eclipse & OMG Symposium

    Eclipse and OMG will hold a one-day symposium on June 23, 2010 in Minneapolis, Minnesota to discuss the alignment between current OMG specifications and implemented Eclipse software, and to identify areas where the cooperation could be further improved in the future. Position papers of up to 600 words are requested by February 24, 2010.

    Recent Project Proposals

    Dynamic Enterprise Application Platform Project (Virgo)
    Virgo will provide a runtime platform for the development of server-side enterprise applications built on top of Equinox, and optionally using modules from the Gemini project.
    Graphiti will provide an easy to use and well structured plain Java API for building graphical tools, and will limit dependencies of the framework to a minimum to support RCP-like scenarios.
    JavaScript Development Tools (JSDT)
    JSDT aims to evolve and better promote JavaScript-based development technologies by providing a rich set of tools for the development of non-trivial software using JavaScript.
    Mangrove - SOA Modeling Framework
    Mangrove will extend the scope of the existing SOA Tools Platform (STP) Intermediate Model (IM) component to improve editor coverage while reducing the need for manual transformations.
    Mylyn Reviews
    The Mylyn Reviews project will do reviews based on Mylyn tasks, filter the review scope, provide inline-commenting for source code reviews and incorporate the review tasks in the Mylyn task list.
    Remus Information Management
    Remus is an intelligent tool that enables users to file, categorize and visualize diverse types of data as information units in a single application.
    The mission of ScalaModules is to employ the power of the Scala programming language to ease OSGi development.
    Sphinx is a project providing a modeling tool platform for Eclipse that eases the development of IDE-like tool support for modeling languages used in software and systems development.
    Woolsey provides tools to assist with intellectual property management including generating and maintaining IP logs, submitting logs for review and comparing logs against project distributions.
