infrastructure migration

Eclipse Community Bulletin Hardware Migration - Phase III

Updated: March 24, 2005 - New outage times!

The Eclipse Foundation has begun a hardware migration. The key goals of this migration are to move the existing infrastructure to powerful new servers, as well as reorganize the technical layout of the resources. We want to make sure that everyone is aware of the key dates, because there will be impacts on the site's availability as the transition is done.

We have planned the move in three phases. The first phase involved installing the backend servers and transitioning the Bugzilla and Download servers to the new environment. In the second phase we will move the web server and the newsgroups, and in the third phase, the remaining servers will be migrated, including our mailing lists and CVS.
