OCCTET brings together a consortium of industry leaders, cybersecurity experts, and open source advocates to build free, open source tools that make regulatory compliance more accessible, transparent, and cost-effective.
Looking ahead to next year, preparations for Open Community Experience (OCX) 2026 are well underway. Taking place 21–23 April 2026 in Brussels, OCX will once again serve as our flagship event, bringing together thought leaders, contributors, and industry innovators for three days of keynotes, technical sessions, and networking. The call for proposals and sponsorship opportunities, is now open, offering you a prime platform to showcase your organisation, connect with our vibrant global audience, and demonstrate leadership in the open source ecosystem. I strongly encourage all members to explore the sponsorship prospectus and secure their spot early.
In the Java ecosystem, I’m pleased to highlight the upcoming Adoptium Summit 2025, which will be held online on 1 October. This event will feature insightful technical talks, best-practice sharing, and in-depth discussions on the advantages of Adoptium in production environments. Registration is now open, and we welcome broad participation from across our community.
Our membership remains strong. As of 31 August, we have 394 Organisational Members and 2,116 Committers. The 2025 budget includes further growth for the Foundation, once again driven by our working groups and new initiatives.
Financially, we are solidly on track with our 2025 budget, consistent with our plans for managing our steady year-over-year growth. As always, I thank you for your continued trust and support.
