I had the same idea two weeks ago :) I wanted to create a splash page on eclipsecon.org with all the logos and links of all the eclipsecon conference but we've decided to continue to redirect eclipsecon.org to the upcoming conference.

I've updated the title and the link on both /europe2012 & /2012. The page is are currently loading on /europe2012 but I am planning to create a new drupal site in the root of eclipsecon.org so I can create pages with a url that doesn't contain the conference alias in it.

But for now the Past Conferences url is : http://www.eclipsecon.org/europe2012/past-conferences
