Hi all,

Can I assume that any questions for nominees will come through this list (which I'll keep an eye on)?  If there are other communication channels people prefer then let me know!

I am very pleased to announce that the nominees [1] for the 2019 Eclipse Foundation Board [2] election [3] have been published. Thank you to all of the nominees for putting their names forward!

This year's election will be for three Committer and three Sustaining Member representatives. The terms of office are from April 1, 2019 to March 31, 2020.

The positions of Sustaining Members and Committer representatives are a vitally important part of the Eclipse Foundation's governance. I highly encourage everyone to consider participating in the election process by reading the position statements, and contacting the nominees with any questions.

Voting will open on February 11. Voting credentials for all eligible committers will be emailed beforehand. 

As a reminder, the key dates are:
    January 3, 2019: Nominations open. To nominate someone, simply send an email to elections@xxxxxxxxxxx.
    January 24, 2019: Nominations close
    January 28, 2019: List of nominees published on www.eclipse.org
    February 5, 2019: Nominees' personal pages made available on www.eclipse.org
    February 11, 2019: Voting begins
    February 28, 2019: Voting ends at 3pm Eastern time
    March 5, 2019: New representatives announced
