Keynotes Announced for EclipseCon NA

	The keynote lineup for EclipseCon NA promises to be excellent! Tyler Jewell of Codenvy will demonstrate a next-gen Eclipse IDE, Chris Rasmussen of NGA will discuss open source in the intelligence community, and Samantha Chiu of Women Who Code will share her story of building a team of women coders in Ghana. The conference includes a two-day IoT Summit on March 8 and 9; see the details here.

Nominate a Board Representative

We have opened nominations for the Eclipse Foundation Board of Directors positions for Committer and Sustaining Member representatives. These positions are important; the elected directors are a real asset to the governance of our community.

Nominations close on January 22 and voting begins on February 8. Winners will be announced at the Members Meeting at EclipseCon NA 2016 on Monday, March 7.

Nominations close soon (January 15) for theEclipse Community Awards. Help choose the Top Committer, Top Newcomer Evangelist, Most Innovative Project, and Most Open Project. Anyone can nominate, so send us your favorites. Self-nominations are welcome. More...

Coming Soon: FOSS4G NA

	If you're interested in the open source geospatial community, consider attending FOSS4G NA 2016, planned for May 2-5 in Raleigh, North Carolina.
The event is co-presented by the Eclipse LocationTech Working Groupand OSGeo. The Call for Proposals is open now, with submissions due on February 8. The best registration prices continue through February 26.
