This is the template for the "New and Noteworthy" document that accompanies each Eclipse project milestone build.
Note: This template document is XHTML 1.0 Transitional. Please use the W3C XHTML Markup Validation Service to check your document's markup before submitting. This will detect screwed up HTML tags, images without an "alt" attrribute, and other tedious little details.

Folks have been asking for the ability to re-use parts of the eclipse UI in Dialogs and Wizards for some time. In E4 this is finally possible!! You can now create a model (exactly as you would for the regular UI) and use it to populate all or part of a dialog or wizard page's content. The E4 Photo demo has an example of how this is done (it's fairly straightforward). Think about the possibilities; Java editors in the new class wizard... |
