Hi,

I am looking for a way to detect/set the version of the internet explorer used to display help pages.
For our company RCP we make use of some 'advanced' CSS styles which are not rendered correctly with the default IE used for help.

On our company machines we have IE 11.0 installed, which renders the pages jsut fine. But somehow eclipse help pages are displayed using either an older version or some compatibility mode.

The RCP is based on Eclipse Luna. I also checked the SWT FAQ [1] trying to play with org.eclipse.swt.browser.IEVersion settings, but with no luck so far.

Hi Christian,
Post Luna(4.4), we have fixed couple of bugs(342145 & 440300) w.r.t. IE version & IE 11 document mode.

Will suggest you to try out the latest build of Eclipse 4.4.2 having these fixes:
http://download.eclipse.org/eclipse/downloads/drops4/M-4.4.2RC3-201502041700/

Note:- 4.4.2 is in RC3 and final build will be out very soon.

Regards,
Niraj
