Good morning,

I have created an EMF model that I would like to import in Papyrus. In fact, when you have to create a Papyrus project, you can choose between UML, SysML and Profil diagram languages.

So my question is: is it possible to add my own model in the diagram languages? Besides, I would like not to try this one with an Eclipse Application.

Thank you very much,

Adrien

Hi

"I would like not to try this one" is a bit confusing.

Why not just use the Ecore to UML converter available from the Tool Bar
menu of the Sample Ecore Model Editor (or the underlying UML2Ecore API)?

Regards

Ed Willink

Hi Adrien,

Papyrus only supports UML and UML-based languages ("UML Profiles").

Camille

Hi,

Papyrus support all EMF models. This mean that it can handle any kind
of EMF models.
But, actually, Papyrus has diagrams for only UML and SYSML models.
So, if what you want is to import an EMF model and have it drawn in a
uml class diagram, this will not work.
In order to be able to show your EMF model in Papyrus, you need to
provide the corresponding diagram. Papyrus is designed to be extended,
so this can be done. This requires knowledge of the internal mechanism
of Papyrus.

First, I would like to thank you for your answers.
I'm going to explain you what I want to do:

1. I have created my EMF model. This is my ecore file.

2. Then I have created a new Papyrus project and I would like to create some diagrams with only the elements I have designed in my EMF model considered as Eclasses. I mean if I want to create an Activity diagram, there will be only my elements in the palette, my EClasses, to design a representation.

I hope you have understood my needs,

Adrien.
