I downloaded eclipse-modeling-luna-R-win32-x86-64.zip from the Eclipse download site and thought that the plugin was for the EMF plugin. This may be the correct package but I would like to verify that I have the correct download for the EMF plugin. Does someone know for sure that I have to correct zip file for this plugin?

Hi,

It depends on what you mean by "correct".

The package that you downloaded includes the June 2014 release of EMF
plus a great many other plug-ins that you may or may not need. It is
intended as a development workbench for working with a variety of the
modeling technologies provided by Eclipse. It is by no means a
"download" of the "EMF plug-in" (note that EMF comprises several
plug-ins, perhaps two dozen)

Also, there has, since this time, been at least one service release of
the Modeling Package that you downloaded (the "Luna SR1").

In any case, if what you really need is downloads of EMF plug-ins, your
best bet is to direct either your Eclipse installation's "Install New
Software..." dialog or your PDE Target to the EMF p2 site repository
for the latest (Luna/2.10) release:

http://download.eclipse.org/modeling/emf/emf/updates/2.10.x/

HTH,

Christian
