Hi,

Someone is reporting problems in the Eclipse IDE with the new preview version Mars M4.

Setup:
Linux Mint 17 x64, Kernel Version 3.13.0-24
GTK version: libgtk-3-0:amd64 3.10.8~8+qiana

Here an example with a tree:

LUNA:
index.php/fa/20323/0/

MARS:
index.php/fa/20309/0/

The same dialog is working fine under windows.

My guess is that something is broken with the SWT (or with Eclipse IDE) with mars.

Where is the correct place to report these errors?

Who is interested?

My guess is that Alexander Kurtakov could be interested [see [cross-project-issues-dev] Limiting GTK versions supported by SWT or SWT call for help ]... (and anyone working on the SWT Port under Linux)

I have also notified the team responsible of the Scout Perspective in the Eclipse IDE, but I am not sure if they will be able to do something about it.

I checked the original post and these are issues specific to the GTK3 port of SWT (some specific to 3.10 only). I think these problems are already reported via bugs https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=446075 and https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=447138 which should be fixed either in Eclipse or GTK+ soon. You could also raise new bug reports via the same bugzilla portal if needed, thanks!
