We have a model in Sirius where we have a system that contain user defined groups. Other elements contained directly by the system can declare that they are members of these groups through cross-references.

The groups are visualised using GroupContainer in the diagram, and the elements that belong to the group are listed in this container. Their elements primary representation in the diagram is, however, as Nodes.

When deleting a group container instance, the elements referenced by the are also deleted from the diagram (despite these being cross-references).

Is this intended behaviour or a bug?

Hi,

That is the current default behavior. The delete command recursively
performs a delete action on all sub-elements of the current deleted one.
I agree that may be confusing in the case of cross-references and this
default behavior may be questionable.
I suggest you to define your own delete tool on this specific group
container to override the default behavior by simply delete the group.

Thanks for your reply - I will look into using a delete tool as you suggest.

Should I report the default behaviour as a bug in bugzilla?
