Hi all,

Either I have stumbled upon a bug or I am doing something horribly wrong
here. In any case I am not able to do a few things that look pretty
straightforward from the tutorial.

First some figures:
JWT version: 0.5.0
Eclipse Ganymede version 3.4.1, build Id M20080911-1700
AgilPro Simulator 1.5.0
Java JRE
running on XP professional

I installed JWT via the Software Updates option in Eclipse and downloaded
the AgilPro from the sourceforge site. Although the tutorial PDF is for
the JWT 0.4.0 version I figured it should be okay to start from there,
having a bit of previous workflow experience with Staffware and Oracle
workflow systems.

After trying to run my first dummy workflow in the AgilPro simulator (the
workflow was the demo one in the tutorial) things started to go wrong: I
could not add an Edge (Reference or Activity) to my workflow. I was able
to do this before, but I forgot one (the edge between the Role and the
Action). Like I said, after executing it (and getting a proper error
message) things simply ended.

Even after restarting Eclipse and, for just-trying-out-sake, my PC I still
cannot add any (Reference/Activity) edges. I did try to throw away my
workflow and create a new one, even threw away my workspace.

What am I doing wrong here? Any help or suggestions would be greatly
appreciated.

Thanks in advance,

Michiel
Editing the workflow seems to work in AgilPro LiMo? [message #27090 is a reply to message #27048] Wed, 10 December 2008 15:58 Go to previous messageGo to next message

Weird, I just tried to use the AgilPro LiMo workflow editor and it worked
like a charm. After fixing the missing reference edge the demo worked fine
in the simulator.

After running the demo I added another data element and tried to use that
instead of the previous one from the tutorial. Adding the data element to
the workflow was a piece of cake but again I could not add a reference?

Is there a lock on the workflow file after you run it or something?

Cheers,

Michiel

Hello Michiel,

Since adding a reference is anything but "horribly wrong", I strongly
think you faced a bug ;)

Could you please open a bug report on Eclipse bugzilla to describe this
stange behavior? It might also be useful that you attach your
[workspace]/.metadata/.log file (or a compressed archive if it is too huge).
Then we'll try to fix it in priority (since it happens with the
tutorial...).

Thanks in advance.
