Can't print text from console window [message #1497331]

I've generated output to the console window and would like to print selected text from it. Obviously I can cut and paste into another app, but I'm not sure why the 'print' dialog on the file pulldown is greyed out when the console is active. Is there a setting somewhere I'm missing? I've searched help and preferences and have found nothing related.

On what platform are you? Does printing work in other applications?

It is not supported. Console view doesn't have the printing feature.
You can submit a feature request to bugzilla but something clipboard utility which can print out may be better.

org.eclipse.ui.console.TextConsolePage.createActions()
org.eclipse.ui.texteditor.AbstractTextEditor.createActions()
(just adding PRINT action in TextConsolePage enables the printing feature)
