Are GenDoc fragments reentrant?

In other words, is it possible to call a fragment directly or indirectly from itself?

Thanks

Yves

Hi Yves,

No it is not the case. A fragment does not recognize its own name and cycling dependancies between fragments are not possible.

Have you tried to formulate your fragment differently : for example a recursive OCL query + a not recursive fragment ?

Hi Anne,

Thank you.

I have no specific issue there. I was just wanting to investigate about the possibility to create more compact and flexible GenDoc template.

One point which makes difficult to create templates that are really generic is that the depth of the package hierarchy have to be known in advance in most cases. Being able to rely on reentrant fragments could have help in solving this issue. Wink
