Automation GUI Testing tools for RCP [message #269842]

Hi,

I am looking for automation GUI testing tools for Rcp applications.
Hope some one already using some tools. I Googled and found out the
following tools,
1) TPTP AGR
2) Abbot
3) Costello
4) SWTBOT

The goal of automation GUI testing tools is minimum effort to prepare
the test scripts it can be either by Recording or Programming. Can you
some one help me on this..?

Take a look at the commercial tool WindowTester
(http://www.instantiations.com/windowtester/)

Hi Ketan,

Thanks for the replay. Due to quick Deadline of our project we are
limited our RCP application only to JUnit test cases. Our RCP
application is more specific to GUI oriented. When we add new
functionality it is difficult to test regression on GUI (I mean it takes
more effort). Initially i choose TPTP AGR where it has facility to
Automatic GUI recorder and open source, no need to write java code for
Automatic GUI Recording. But it is not supporting for RCP application.

Yes i gone through SWTBOT, where is has Automatic GUI recording using
Java code. Its really nice framework for Rcp application. Now we are end
of the Project and it will take more effort to write Java code for
Automation GUI recording. Does SWTBOT has the facility for Automatic GUI
Recording without you using Java code ? If not any other solutions ?
