What is the most recent stable version of eclipe + pydev? I'm trying to use the most recent of both and eclipse works fine when not using pdev, however, within a few minutes of creating a python project and adding files, it gets real sluggish and unresponsive to the point I have to kill -9 the process.

I'm using the latest release of Oracle JDK 1.7.0 (1.7.0_71-b14), 64-bit. OS Is CentOS 7 64-bit.

Pulling my hair out.

This is a pristine install of eclipse, with literally no changes to the settings or configuration other than the minimal changes required to install pydev and configure it's interpreter. I installed pydev using the Help->Install Software method.

I'd say give 3.8.2 a try, or contact pydev
