hi,

is it possible to merge only some chars from a diff between text ?
like : http://www.eclipse.org/emf/compare/documentation/latest/images/EMF_Compare_Text_Compare.png

Hi Stéphane,

Text is currently considered as atomic data. Yes, I assume we could extend the GUI to reuse Eclipse Compare features for text, so that text is compared and merged at a lower level of granularity. The related differences should be marked as merged afterwards.

In case people are wondering, the issue will keep being discussed on Stéphane's bugzilla request, although there will probably be no significant progress before 2015. Smile
