Where does one set the font colors? For example, to set the comments to be gray instead of green.

I've looked there ... under Basic and Java. Don't see an option to change the comment font color. Any other suggestions?

Ah, I see what you're looking for, I didn't read the question carefully enough. What you want is under Preferences > Java > Editor > Syntax Coloring.
