There are many broken links when trying to locate the download from the
EMFT project or Eclipse Downloads pages. The above link seems the only
access.

The description of the SDK on http://download.eclipse.org/technology/emft/downloads/downlo ads-viewer.php?proj=ocl&s=1.0.0/S200602241417
does not mention that it includes the examples. cf the GEF pages that uses
"ALL(SDK + Examples)" as the top title. (or the EMF pages that use "SDK" as the top
title and do not include examples.) Please copy GEF and at least clarify the title,
and possibly provide an ALL/SDK distinction.

Hi,
Iam including a comment from a previous thread addressing the broken links
"We have raised https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=129583 to
track this problem. There is, for now, a work-around: download the
individual features that the
SDK would otherwise gather for you. The problem is only in the SDK
features."

With respect to qualifying in the description of the SDK that it includes
the examples we will add to the existing description. The result is as
follows:

SDK
This download is the developer's SDK. It contains the runtime
plug-ins, source, examples and documentation for developers that want to
extend and use EMFT.

Thanks
Vishy

Hi, Vishy,

I don't think that's the link that Ed was talking about. The link from the
main Eclipse.org downloads page, in the "By Project" section, for the EMFT
project returns a 404.

Cheers,

Christian

If you mean the links (that have now been fixed) in the What's New box
in the footer nav that were pointing at downloads.php instead of
downloads/?proj=, then yeah, I've fixed that. If you mean anything else,
please let me know where the links are and what they link to and I'll
fix them. Thanks!

If you got to the site before mirroring completed, then yes, you might
have gotten some 404s as files were copied around the
download.eclipse.org nodes or onto mirrors. There's nothing we can do
about this except to delay these automated announcement posts by an
arbitrary amount (or set up some sort of spider to check if the
mirroring is done before firing the emails, but that seems like
overkill, IMHO).
